If you have ever fancied creating your own swimwear design or design for your team and wanted something a little different from the "norm" then AI is an excellent tool to help you with this. Checkout the guide below which will help you work through the steps from initial idea to your final swimsuit.
Step 1: Visualize Your Concept on a Mockup
Prepare your canvas: Download your chosen product template - https://store.waterpoloshop.com/pages/templates-custom-design-products
Prompt the AI: Upload the image to your preferred AI tool (such as Gemini, Midjourney, or Canva AI etc). Describe your desired aesthetic and ask the AI to map the design directly onto the product template.
Generate separate mockups for both the front and back of your swimwear / sportswear, so you can visualise your idea in full

Step 2: Generate Print-Ready Flat Files
To transition from a mockup to a physical garment, your design needs to be converted into a flat file, which will allow us to create your official artwork and map it to the product production templates.
Prompt the AI: Instruct the AI to create a clean, high-resolution version of the pattern or graphic without the product mockup visible. This ensures the best possible print quality.

Pro Tip: When generating these files pick the landscape size option for "wide" items like briefs, trunks, bikini bottoms etc and the portrait size option for "tall" items such as one-piece swimsuits, jammers, t-shirts etc
Please note: We use files exactly as produced, so as AI is not yet 100% correct you may see spelling mistakes etc. If you do not want these mistakes you will need to correct these when generating the files before you send them to us. Or if you are happy to proceed as is,we will confirm this when we send you your official artwork for "sign off"
